A Kenyan pastor is leading a food drive targeting more than 100 families down at the coastal town of Kilifi.

Sortedlife Church lead Pastor Reverend Moses Bantu is targeting 100 families in Kathama village in Chakama, Kilifi County as a relief response to families hard hit by the Covid-19 pandemic.

The initiative dubbed “Love is the answer Food Basket Drive” which has managed to raise and distribute over 25 food baskets, is now targeting 100 more families in the region.

Rev. Bantu through his church and affiliate organizations such as the Kilifi Mission and Transformation Centre and Sortedlife Production seeks to raise Ksh 150,000 to facilitate food baskets to 100 families.

Local gospel artists Eko Dydda, Holy Dave, Othole, Victor Mbuvi and Janet Ndubi are championing for the drive that will mark Rev. Bantu’s 34th birthday on July 8.

Rev. Bantu called on every well wisher to donate to the drive.

“Things are tough for most people, but we are a generous society and often go out of our way to make sacrifices for those going through more challenging times than us”

His ministry seeks to inspire transformation through faith, words and actions and for everyone everywhere to experience Jesus Christ’s transforming power and love.
