Timothy J. Keller was born on September 23, 1950, in Allentown, Pennsylvania, USA. He studied at Bucknell University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in 1972. Afterward, he attended Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, where he received his Master of Divinity degree in 1975. Keller went on to earn a Doctor of Ministry degree from Westminster Theological Seminary in 1981. Timothy Keller is married to Kathy Keller. They have three sons together: David, Michael, and Jonathan.

In 1989, Keller co-founded Redeemer Presbyterian Church in New York City, which has become a prominent and influential congregation. Under his leadership, Redeemer grew significantly and played a vital role in shaping a modern, urban approach to Christian ministry.

Timothy Keller is widely recognized for his insightful books and writings on Christianity and theology.
