Growing up in Lafayette, Louisiana, surrounded by the rich sounds of gospel, zydeco, blues, and Cajun music, Lauren Daigle’s childhood was filled with music. Singing around the house from a young age, music was always a part of her life. However, it was a severe illness that struck when she was 15 years old, forcing her out of school for nearly two years, that led her to fully embrace music as both solace and a career.

During her time being homeschooled due to her illness, music became Lauren’s refuge from loneliness and she found her place as a praise and worship leader at her local church. Her deep and soulful alto voice caught the attention of many, leading her to audition for American Idol in 2010 and 2012, where she gained valuable experience and insights into the music industry.

After deciding to further hone her craft, Lauren pursued a degree in Child and Family Studies at Louisiana State University. It was during this time that she was approached by a local band to contribute vocals to an EP recording project. The demo of the EP eventually found its way to Centricity Music label, who recognized her exceptional talent and signed her as a solo artist in 2013.

Lauren Daigle’s discography includes her debut album “How Can It Be,” released in 2015, which features songs like the title track “How Can It Be” and “Trust in You.” In 2016, she released the deluxe edition of the same album, including additional tracks like “First” and “Come Alive (Dry Bones).”

Following the success of her debut album, Lauren released “Behold: A Christmas Collection” in 2016, showcasing her soulful renditions of classic Christmas songs such as “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” and “O Holy Night.”

In 2018, she released her second studio album, “Look Up Child,” which includes hits like “You Say,” “Still Rolling Stones,” and “Rescue.” The album earned her critical acclaim and multiple awards, solidifying her position in the music industry.

Lauren Daigle’s discography reflects her powerful vocals, heartfelt lyrics, and unwavering faith, resonating with listeners across different genres and backgrounds.
