Pure Flix Launches New Faith Drama ‘Destination Heaven’ Starring Harry Lennix As God

Written by on May 13, 2024

Destination Heaven is a faith drama starring Harry Lennix (The Blacklist, Man of Steel) as God. The six-part scripted series that premieres May 24 follows God as he encounters people in a myriad of circumstances who all believe they’re doing the right things — that is, until they discover their approach to being good is going through the motions rather than growing emotionally or intellectually from the circumstance. This is Pure Flix as is about to launch its third original series since Great American Media merged with Sony’s subscription streaming outfit Pure Flix last June.

Episodes will feature appearances by Kevin Sorbo (Chosen), Emily Rose (Gotham Knights), and Tim Bensch (Chicago Fire).

Great American Pure Flix is now the 24/7 home to faith and family-based series and films. Besides airing films like Divine Influencer, Harvest Homecoming with Trevor Donovan and Jessica Lownde and Birthright Outlaw starring Sarah Drew, it also launched the original series Going Home and County Rescue.

Before the merger last year, Pure Flix was known for faith-based franchises like God’s Not Dead. It was acquired by Sony Pictures Television in December 2020.
