Movement Day is coming to Nairobi with 8 Days to go at Parklands Baptist Church on Friday, September 8th, 2023. The speakers this year include Valentine Gitoho, Joseph Gachira and Dr Otieno Oguok.

Movement Day is a movement of City Gospel Movements for Africa’s spiritual and social flourishing. Our mission is catalyzing Urban Gospel Practitioners through United prayer and evangelism, Discipleship and ethics, and Revival and flourishing.

The Challenges we are facing while seeking to address the flourishing of Nairobi City are rapid urbanization that leads to high rates of poverty, crime, abuse, neglect, and injustice, which requires a clear strategic intervention by the church.

Additionally, Africa has the fastest growing, fastest urbanizing, and youngest population in the world (median age < 19 years); thus the population growth and the youth dividend in Nairobi provide a unique opportunity for long-term impact. Furthermore, the current continental population is expected to double by 2050, with most people living in Cities.
