The winner of the Battle of Choirs in Kenya, Easter Festival second edition, is PCEA Kahawa Farmers from Roysambu Sub-County taking home the Ksh.2 Million cash prize.
St. Peters Clavers were the 1st Runners Up bagging Ksh.1 Million, while Ngomongo Ministers came third, with a cash prize of Ksh.500,000.
While congratulating the winners and the participants, Nairobi Governor, Sakaja Johnson said the reason for the Battle of the Choirs Easter Festival isn’t to compete but to celebrate Jesus’ resurrection with a style.
“We are here for a reason, in this season, Jesus is the reason. We are celebrating the love that God showed to humanity by giving His Son to die for us to get an abundant life. We are here to support your ministry in spreading the Word through songs. Am sure someone has received encouragement, healing and their spirit lifted”, Governor Sakaja added.
The Governor also revealed a mobile recording studio that will be going around the county for choirs to access affordable recording services for their songs is ready. Later each Sub County will have their own recording studio.
