Mercy Chinwo (Nigeria), Christina Shusho, and Joel Lwaga from Tanzania are among 8 gospel artists nominated for 2022 AFRIMMA awards scheduled to go down on November 19th in Dallas, Texas. Other artists include, Joe Mettle – Ghana, Miguel Buila – Angola, Oheema Mercy – Ghana, KS Bloom – Ivory Coast, and Pulani Maphari – South Africa.
The 9th edition of AFRIMMA is to celebrate the stellar feats that African Music artistes have made in the last year. Aptly tagged ‘This is Africa”, AFRIMMA 2022 is set to further cement the legacy being created by the various talented African musicians. AFRIMMA 2022 ‘ This is Africa’ edition is deemed as the celebration of this time; the time is Africa’s time. The world has caught on to the beauty and diversity of our sounds and the best we can do is dish more out of the abundant pot of talents as we cross more boundaries with African music.
