Premature baby Remington Hayze was born at 22 weeks and is being taken care of in the neonatal intensive care unit at a hospital in Temple, Texas. The little baby touched everyone’s hearts with his reaction to his dad, Daniel Johnson, singing a worship song. Emily Johnson, Remington’s mom, captured the heartwarming moment in a video. Daniel posted it on TikTok for everyone to see.
“Proof that God is faithful. Born 4 months early and given a 21% chance of survival,” Daniel wrote as a caption of the video.
In the video, Daniel was singing “Hallelujah Here Below” by Elevation Worship as he was holding Remington in his arms. As he was singing the word “Hallelujah,” the premature baby was seen raising his little hand in praise. The emotional father was seen holding back his tears as he watched his son worship the Lord.
“Should the fire that once burned bright become an ember my eyes can’t see. I will remember your sacrifice. I will abide in your love for me. Oh, we sing hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah. We sing hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah,” he sang.
Remington had only been given a 21% chance of making it past the first 24 hours. However, by the grace of God, he was able to survive that day. Today, he is now 3 months old and is showing great recovery. He is still at Baylor Scott & White McLane Children’s Medical Center but is expected to come home soon.
